The Automatic Lace Tufter
United’s Lace Tufter Machine ties the loop and pulls
the knot inside the Mattress at the rate of 20 tufts per
minute while providing uniform lengths of loop on the
surface. Designed for high output and constant feed, a
single operator can tuft up to 200 queen size Mattresses
per shift. The United Tufter helps eliminate rejects
and reduce downtime. The machine stops automatically*
if a knockdown occurs, the twine breaks, or the tufts
fail to be completed.
The Automatic Button Tufter
Designed for fiber or metal buttons, the United Button
Tuffer allows a single operator to produce 20 ties per
minute on Mattresses of any normal thickness. Tie lengths
are adjusted with a single control to eliminate waste
ends and reduce set-up time.
Use the same proven mechanism in both heads of the
United Button Tufter ensures low operating and maintenance
costs. An automatic shut-off for jam detection and tie
breakage, as well as a fail-safe release clutch to prevent
breakage of parts, ensure simple, reliable operation.
The United Automatic Table
The United automatic table, combined with one of United’s
Automatic Tufters, provides ‘push button’
tufting for consistent, beautiful work while reducing
operator fatigue.

With a United automatic
table, you will never lose a single Mattress to
a jam or twine breakage. Once the problem is corrected,
the table is easily returned to the approximate
position of the last tuft. When started again, it
automatically picks up the old position and continues
normal operation.
